Every CruisingWithAI duck gets a unique QR code registered to the pond. First you hatch the duck — name it, give it an origin, add a photo. Then when you're ready, you scan its code to officially drop it into hiding. Every finder after that scans the same code to log their pickup, add a photo, and either keep the journey going or take the duck home.
Each QR code stays active forever. If a duck goes missing between scans, that chapter shows as Unknown in its journey — part of the mystery. It's real. It's analog. It's a little bit magical.
